I've always wondered what class was overall the 'best' in Calamity. I've not beaten it yet but from my few attempted playthroughs it felt like certain classes were waaay better than others at certain stages. Class power felt more staggered than gradual and they felt way more polar than in base gameThank you in advance. There is the more calamity yoyo bags mod, but i wouldnt reccomend it since it is super grindy and give you unfair advantages which can ruin the challenge of the mod. The classic yoyobag paired with calamity accesories will be fine for you.

I came into Calamity with a solid background with 1.3 vanilla Summoner, so I was perfectly okay switching to Calamity with that class. My friend, on the other hand, really liked Ranger, and found Mage and Ranger to be much easier for him.
