The takedown lever does rotate. The slide lock lever is locked into the up position. Probably got the wire spring jammed against the frame. As a P365 and P365XL owner, I'm aware of the two primary issues that can arise when reassembling the gun. I'll second the AC takedown lever. Much easier to rotate for field stripping over OEM. I haven't noticed any benefit for recoil control, but I do tend to have a rather firm grip. It does provide a convenient place to rest my support thumb.6. If the slide simply refuses to budge forward, pull back the slide, lock it back, swing the take down lever back to home place, and cycle the slide a few times.
