This is for continued work on a major road resurfacing project. The closure will be from the south end of Tri West High School to U.S. 136. The road will be open to local and emergency traffic only. The official detour follows U.S. 36 to S.R. 75 to U.S. 136 and back. This contract was awarded to Milestone Contractors, LP for $9.6 million. - The Indiana Department of Transportation will close a portion of State Road 9 for construction. SR 9 will close between Mackenzie Road and U.S. 40 in both directions. The closure is scheduled to begin on June 7, weather permitting.
