And, my truck has never ran quieter and smoother than it does now. 139,000 miles on the old gal and still going strong. As far as filters go, Wix, Fram ultra, Fleetguard, Donaldson, Molbil1 filters are all good. The only thing I didn't like about the Microguard was that my end cap filter wrench wouldn't fit it. The filter was slightly too small and the wrench wouldn't grip. Dec 17, 2004 · slalom44. STP Oil filters are made by Champion Labs. From my observations (and pictures posted by others here) they are essentially identical to the SuperTech filters sold at WalMart. I'm not sure if the filter media is identical, but I doubt that it would be much different. In general, I think that the SuperTech filter is a very good filter. A bowl of olive bar olives is a nice snack, for your friends, particularly if you get a variety of colors, sizes, and cures (the wrinkled oil-cured guys are my current faves). No one would be mad at a bowl of room temperature olives, but if...I would take great air filter and a k&n or mobile1 oil filter that does like 30 microns at 96% over a cheap air filter or janky air intake and the best oil filter setup money can buy. Filtering air and filtering oil are somewhat two different animals, expect for the overlap of where introducing unfiltered air into the cylinders can cause some ... ….
