Jul 26, 2021 · My spare PC just doesn't work after I left it for a day of not powering on. The next day I plugged it in, the power button light just goes orange for a few seconds and then turns off again, and it loops forever. I tried pressing the power supply button behind and it shown a green light. I tried replacing the CMOS Battery, nothing happened. #1. I have a dell optiplex 3040 micro desktop, with 4 gb of ram. Hi, I bought a Dell XPS desktop around 5 months ago, and it's been running nicely since up until around a week ago, where the power light would sometimes flash yellow three times and white twice. It's also been running a little slower since then. The orange light may be blinking because your laptop did not recognize your AC adapter. To fix this, you need to: Restart your laptop. Press the F2 key several times once the Dell logo has appeared. You should see an ‘Entering Setup’ message after doing so. Go to the BIOS options to verify the adapter type. As soon as I remove a physical drive the Health and Drive lights start blinking.
