I 94 issue date

I recently got my Indian passport renewed in USA, I am on F1 visa. My I-94 has D/S as the end date, but the issue is that I-94 is connected to old Passport number. Wondering, if I am required to get I-94 updated with the new passport number. Also, what are my options, since I am currently in USA, completing my Summer semester at school. Thank you!.
