Developmental disabilities conference 2023
We are seeking session proposals for Tuesday, October 17 & Wednesday, October 18, 2023. Proposals must include a self-advocate (s) as a lead or co-presenter. Panels should be limited to no more than 3 people. Conference sessions must support Self-Determination and Self-Directed principles. Presentations will be in person and on video this year. The 16th Annual “VIRTUAL” California Disability Advocacy Conference inspires, educates, and empowers attendees to become advocates for Californians with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The conference is presented by The Arc of California, Easterseals and United Cerebral Palsy.We represent approximately 7,200 DD staff, 5,300 of whom are Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and approximately 8,200 staff serving all populations. We serve approximately 4,000 individuals with developmental disabilities. Services to people with disabilities are most often lifelong.
