Took it to Ford and they said “We don’t ever actually them the coolant until the truck is out of warranty.”. Seemed a bit odd, but I figured they SHOULD know. The earlier 6.7L engines needed to be checked for coolant additives about every 25,000 miles. Hence the test strips. You coolant change interval was at 105,000 miles and you could add the additives twice if I remember right. I think that was with the 2011 -2015 engines.
