I usually put my Deluge on charge by usb shortly after the red light comes on...it can take a long time to charge though, anywhere between 5-8 hours until the light turns from yellow to green. MIDI clock output has to be enabled on the Deluge (Settings->MIDI->Clock->Out->Set to "on"). The Microcosm usually should receive any incoming MIDI clock signal. If it still doesn´t work, try another cable perhaps? This is what the Microcosm user guide says about MIDI clock sync: "CLOCK Microcosm accepts MIDI clock signals via the MIDI IN jack.

As the Deluge is not converting audio to digital as in over USB or ADAT what is coming out (regarding samples) is the same as what it was going in though the hardware may colour the sound, or not. But recently, to try a develop a solo project, I bought myself a Deluge, which I link up with other things - including recording my saxes, or triggering a few modular bits, etc. Here's a sketch where the Deluge does most of the musical sounds, but also triggers a Pittsburgh Modular SV1b (it's the gritty notes that appear from time to time).Now when I power on Deluge I get FoLd on the screen and am unable to get any of the Kits or Synths in Deluge. So the deluge would have to have code to do the usb host negotiation, speed setting, handle hubs etc, as well as indicate properly what kind of device (mass storage, uart serial, audio etc) it is acting as to the host computer, all run on the main cpu. Seems like a lot in addition to running the actual audio engine.

So, here I am. And that's how I use my Deluge so far, really as just a go-anywhere groovebox. Like a Circuit with more voices and tracks. I don't have any other devices to connect it to, other than the Circuit and some pocket operators. I haven't even tried recording or making my own samples or kits on it.

Transpose individual notes ! When in midi synth clip, shift + 3 right one up off the top of my head, enters transpose. Press an audition pad to select note to be transposed, press SELECT, now set the value; zero for no change. Turns out it is possible to have a single midi note play at a different pitch Selective transpose if you will.
