Aug 19, 2020 · Duramax Sixth Generation: 2017-2019 (L5P) Not long after I purchased the truck, 2019 2500 LTZ, the check engine light came on. Being out of town working I could not get it to a shop. The light went out on it’s on. On star sent the code, P2A00. Numerous times the cel will come on. 2018 l5p p0191. Just purchased a 2018 chevrolet duramax only 40k miles. After a week of owning it, it through a code p0191 for fuel rail pressure low. Took it to dealer they changed out fuel pressure sensor and wiring kit. That didn't fix it. Took it back 2 days later. 18 GMC 2500 L5P. 65K miles CEL came on about 2000 miles or so ago. Truck was running fine and was using DEF normally but CEL keeps returning on a P026D. Changed MAF sensor and inlet temp sensor, CEL still returns. Took truck to dealer for reflash recall and P026D was gone after but returned next day. There is a float at the bottom of the filter, when water is present it floats up and sets the light off. Drain the float and see what happens over time. Adding isopropyl gas dry may help but it sounds like you have a lot of water in the fuel.

I got one CEL after the new MAP sensor, but that went away on its own before I got in for my appoinment and has yet to come back.
