The computer is basing the DEF mileage prediction on recent history and the brand of DEF has nothing to do with it. They may have had production issues as it was reported to be cloudy and caused DEF systems issues to some people early on. Haven’t seen anything about that recently, though. I’ve been running the standard Peak Blue DEF since I bought the truck.

My first oil change at 10,000 miles the Def injector was completely caked with crystalized DEF as was the opening in the DEF canister where the DEF injector mounts. This run was on regular BlueDEF.It may or may not clean better when it's sprayed into the system, but that's not the words they use. We buy our DEF in 55 gallon containers, and use quite a bit of it per week. The only difference I can find between Blue DEF and Blue Platinum, is about $7.00. When the DEF injector starts to clog, it doesn't get the proper dosage into the system, which is what leads to the "Reductant Pressure Too Low" code.
