The idea here is fine, but 1) it can be done a little more succinctly, Tom Haigh's answer shows, and 2) I know it's just an example, but the fact that implementation here is hard-coded to include files from the directory of the currently running script is kind of odd, especially since the currently running script itself isn't excluded.
