Flas scholarship
FLAS Fellowships can be awarded only to undergraduate and graduate students for 2nd or 3rd year language study. However, graduate students demonstrating advanced proficiency in another Southeast Asian language may apply for a FLAS Fellowship to study a language at the first-year level at SEASSI. Selection Procedure.I've gotten a couple of these (not Portuguese though) and they're great. From what I've heard the Portuguese FLAS competition is the toughest since they get more applications for that language than any of the others. I have also heard, informally, from a FLAS reviewer, that they're less interested in the 'business' oriented applications.
