My silver Oct made 77 with a 351M/C-6/NP-205 gets 80/90 gear oil in the xfer case. The "Shadow" told me to do it. lol. On my 78 I've run 50w motor oil and 80w90 gear oil in both the 435 transmission and the 205 case. I originally put 50w in both, but last time I had them out I switched to 80w90 in both.np205 fluid.
