Jan 21, 2021 · Repeat A/C Failure on 2018 Honda CRV. In May of 2021, with only about 10,000 miles in 33 months, our A/C failed. The dealer replaced the clutch, coil and compressor and recharged the unit under the warranty. Now again in May of 2022, with about 13,000 miles in 45 months, the A/C failed again. We took the car to the dealer last year because we experienced the same issue with our 2017 Honda CR-V Touring. The car had 15,854 miles at the time that we took it to the dealer and just a month or two past the warranty. They found that the compressor has a leak and that the leak had damaged the AC clutch. They wanted $1600 for the repair.
