I have a John Deere X495 garden tractor that cranks ok when the parking brake is depressed but when the brake is released it goes dead. the seat switch is bypassed and it still does not run when brake is released. I have ordered a tech manual from John Deere but it won't be here for about 7 or 8 days.One of the most common issues with the John Deere X485 is engine oil leaks.
